My first friend on returning from Australia, Lanti made us so welcome in the Close. Lots of borrowed sugar and flour meant many cuppas and a great gossip. Lanti and George came to check out the cottage in Scotland with us, joined in many celebrations including our 25th, Steph minded Tom, ( no baby sitters allowed for an 11 year old), George and Lanti were the security police when Tom had his GCSE party while we were away. Then there was Naunton and visits to local gardens- Kiftsgate and more cuppas in Southwood Lawn Road. A lovely smile, a great sense of humour and a good listener. Her lemon drizzle cake was delicious and I still use other of her recipes. Lots of very happy memories and I shall miss her. So will Steve.
